Prescription refills

If you need a refill of a medication prescribed by a provider at Novant Health Psychiatric Medicine, call your pharmacy when you have at least a three-day supply of your medication remaining. This gives your pharmacist time to refill your prescription or to contact our office if permission is needed.

Certain medications require you to take a hard copy of the prescription to your pharmacy to get a refill. If your medication or a medication prescribed for your child has this restriction, we will tell you about it when the original prescription is written.

Please note: Our office does not handle routine refill requests after office hours or on weekends, so plan accordingly.

If you are having difficulty taking your medication, let your pharmacist and our office know.
